Alice lives with her mother, her stepfather and her six year-old half-brother.  Ten years earlier, during an accident in which her father was killed, she lost her sight.  She repressed the traumatic event and has been leading the life of a “normal” teenager.  Despite her handicap, Alice has a remarkable kinaesthetic ability to perceive and grasp her environment.  This way, she is able to reconstruct the space around her.  She can even “read” lies.  Recently, Alice has noticed a number of strange events going on and she has been having recurring nightmares of the accident.  Even stranger, she dreams that she is a child again, with her father, somewhere underground.   They are trying to escape from a monster and her father is protecting her, and this is what costs her father his life and Alice her sight.  Alice is convinced that the monster who killed her father has returned.  When her brother disappears, she sets out to confront the monster in his labyrinth.  Knowing that his weakness is his eyes, she disables him and confronts him on equal terms as she tries to make sense of her childhood trauma.
